New page

Outside Elysium, the wastes of Olympus are home to various structures abandoned after the Titanomachy, many of which have since been renovated during the events of The Persephone Trilogy. These all now play the role of military outposts.

Outpost Altis
The first Outpost reclaimed in the trilogy. It is first mentioned in Chapter 1 of The Hades Calculus, and later renovated during the three month timeskip between Chapters 12 (Summit) and 13 (Synchronize).

<blockquote>SPOILERS FOR The Persephone Effect BEYOND THIS POINT!!!</blockquote>

Outpost Aeaea
The site of the battle with the illusory construct of the Python. Aeaea was formerly one of Mnemosyne's research outposts, where Circe and Hecate conducted much of their work. It is revealed to have been subjected to some form of temporal disruption, untouched by the century that passes between the Titanomachy and the current day.

Outpost Mycenae
The first of six outposts reclaimed in the northward expansion effort towards the Atlas Mountains, and closest to Elysium. Ares names it after a fictional city from a poem xe loves.

Outpost Pella
The last of the six reclaimed outposts, and closest to the Atlas Mountains.

Other Outposts in the expanded universe
In Killers in a Cage, the second book in Amber Jayne's Giantslayer series, the names of the six outposts in the expansion effort are given, in order, as:

* Outpost Mycenae
* Outpost Sicyon
* Outpost Delphi
* Outpost Meteora
* Outpost Aigai
* Outpost Pella
